Life and AD&D Insurance
What You Need to Know
The Fund provides life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance to eligible members. Benefits for both plans are paid through the Fund’s insurance policies with Union Labor Life Insurance Company.
Highlights
- $30,000 life insurance benefit, payable to your beneficiary if you die.
- Additional $30,000 AD&D benefit payable to your beneficiary if you die from a covered accident—for a total of $60,000: $30,000 life insurance + $30,000 AD&D insurance.
- Up to $30,000 AD&D benefit payable to you if you sustain certain severe injuries in a covered accident.
- To name or update your beneficiary, contact the Fund Office.
- To be valid, your beneficiary designation must be on file at the Fund Office when you die.
